Recently, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) decided to settle a lawsuit that I believe to be frivolous. While the settlement might seem to bring about change, it actually doesn't alter my business practices at all. However, it does make the cost of real estate more confusing and potentially more expensive for you, the consumer.
Introduction:
This settlement has particularly tough implications for first-time buyers, lower-income FHA buyers, and my most served group - VA buyers who deserve a break. In essence, these groups may face more challenges now. The irony is that the real winners in this lawsuit were the lawyers, who operated with the same behaviors they accused our profession of.
I've always conducted my business with the highest standards, and these changes only mean that I will continue to serve you with the same dedication. I wrote about his recently in my post: In The Arena It’s business as usual for me—but with a bigger and tougher job ahead, especially in helping those this lawsuit was supposed to protect.
Do not hire me if you want a REALTOR® who's honest.
Do not hire me if you want a REALTOR® who put's his client's needs first.
Do not hire me if you want a relational REALTOR® who knows he needs to deliver to goods in order to earn your advocacy and referrals.
Do not hire me if you want a REALTOR® who's adept at work / life balance boundaries which means I'm recharged, happy and giving you the best of me not what's left of me.
Do not hire me if you want a REALTOR® who believe in closing escrow with happy clients that become advocates, and not just closing for compensation checks.
Do not hire me if you want a REALTOR® who has been professionally business coached for 29 years. Yes longer than I've been a REALTOR®.
Do not hire me if you want a REALTOR® who has been a business owner for over 40 years and know customer service is a mentality, not just a department.
